Professional Development Grants

Professional Development

Since its inception, the Fauquier Education Foundation (FEF) has strived to support our educators to ensure they are best prepared for teaching the next generation.

For over 40 years, these grants have provided financial assistance to dedicated FCPS teachers, educators, and administrators to participate in professional development opportunities that directly impact classroom teaching or enhance a school’s overall learning environment. Funding supports participation in conferences, seminars, research projects, cultural programs, and summer institutes. Applications open annually in the early part of the year.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must have at least three years of experience as an educator or administrator in FCPS

  • Commitment to continue as an educator or administrator in Fauquier County

  • Cannot have received a grant in the previous three years

Application Process:

  • Complete the application by the provided deadline.

  • We will reach out to principals requesting a letter of support once applications are received.

Additional Information:

  • Grants are not awarded for required courses in pursuit of advanced degrees.

  • Groups of educators working collaboratively on a shared experience are encouraged to apply.

  • Selection and funding decisions are solely at the discretion of FEF.

For questions regarding eligibility, please fill out the contact form. To date, FEF has awarded over $500,000 in grants to FCPS teachers and administrators.
