The Fauquier Education Foundation has opened registration for its 25th annual Superintendent’s Scramble Golf Tournament, the organization announced Wednesday.
The charity event, which serves as the foundation’s primary fundraiser, will take place on June 12 at Stonewall Golf Club in Gainesville.
The Captain’s Choice tournament will begin with registration at 8 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Participants will receive green fees, golf carts, an on-course lunch, beverages, a post-tournament reception and a special gift. Awards will be given for gross and net scores, longest drive and closest-to-the-pin competitions.
Registration fees are set at $175 per person or $700 per foursome. Sponsorships, ranging from $150 to $4,000, are also available. Proceeds from the event will benefit the foundation’s Educator Professional Development Grants and other initiatives supporting students and educators within Fauquier County Public Schools.
The foundation has partnered with Charity Golf Today to streamline registration and sponsorships. Those interested can visit sqr.co/fefgolf2025 to sign up or sponsor the event. Several sponsorship opportunities -- including Fairway Refreshment, Registration/Reception, Superintendent’s Scramble and Tee Sign -- offer multiple spots.
Additionally, supporters who do not wish to play can contribute through the “Foursome Sponsor” option.
“Your participation in this tournament has a meaningful impact!,” the foundation said in its announcement. “To date, the foundation has provided more than $500,000 to hundreds of educators, impacting countless students.”
The rebranded Fauquier Education Foundation, formerly known as the Fauquier Excellence in Education Foundation, is a nonprofit dedicated to “expanding educational opportunities within Fauquier County Public Schools.”
